He went to the University of the West of Scotland and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Injury Rehabilitation.
 
He began coaching at 17 with the Scottish Football Association and has also worked with professional Clubs Kilmarnock F.C and St Mirren F.C. He has coached in the USA for 3 years.
 
David is a Scottish FA level 3 qualified coach and also holds a SFA Goalkeeping Certificate. Since moving to the USA he has completed the USSF D license.
