Peter Goossens is a well-traveled man. Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, he is a Dutch Citizen. From there he moved to New Guinea, then to Holland and subsequently to the United States in 1967. Peter played soccer in San Diego at San Diego State from 1969-1973. He was an All-American, All-Conference player. He played with San Diego in the greater Los Angeles Soccer League at the semi-professional level. He moved to the Coachella Valley in 1980, and has been involved in youth soccer here ever since then. Peter was a founding member of the club as a head coach for one of the 4 teams that came together with a common goal to provide a quality soccer program at a competitive level for the youth of the Coachella Valley. Currently Peter holds a National C-license.
